Meet Byung and Eunchon. They have been part of the Forest Lakes community for ten years.

1. Tell us a bit about yourself and how you came to be part of this business.
My name is Byung, and I’m the owner of Sushiwa. I’ve always had a passion for great food and creating a welcoming place where people can enjoy fresh, delicious meals. Sushiwa was built with the goal of offering high-quality Japanese food that is both convenient and affordable for our local community.

2. What do you love most about running or working in this store?
The best part is meeting our customers every day. It’s rewarding to see familiar faces returning and knowing they enjoy our food. Building relationships with the local community makes all the hard work worthwhile.

3. What's your favourite product in the store and why?
One of my favourites is our Chicken Katsu Curry. It’s crispy, freshly cooked, and served with our rich Japanese curry sauce. It’s comforting, full of flavour, and a favourite among many of our customers.

4. Can you share a memorable customer story or a moment?
One of our regular customers once told us that Sushiwa has become their family's Friday night tradition. Hearing stories like that reminds us that we’re not just serving food—we’re creating moments that people enjoy together.

5. When someone visits your store for the first time, what experience do you hope they walk away with?
I hope they leave feeling welcomed, satisfied, and excited to come back. We want every customer to enjoy fresh food, friendly service, and a great overall experience.

6. If you could tell every customer one thing about your store, what would it be?
We truly appreciate every customer who walks through our doors. We prepare our food with care and always strive to provide fresh, delicious meals and friendly service every single day.
