Meet Tony from Zain313 Barber. Tony has been part of the Forest Lakes community for one and a half years.
Tell us a bit about yourself and how you came to be part of this business.
I’ve been working in the hair and barbering industry for over 6 years, and it has always been something I’m passionate about. What started as a love for helping people look and feel their best eventually grew into owning and running my own business. I’m proud to have built a place where both men and women can come in, feel comfortable and receive a service they can be proud of.
What do you love most about running or working in this store?
What I love most is the people. I enjoy meeting different customers every day, building relationships and seeing the confidence a great haircut or hair service can give someone. I also love creating a positive environment for my team and making the store feel like a place people genuinely enjoy coming back to.
What’s your favourite product in the store and why?
My favourite products are the professional hair-care and styling products we use every day. I love products that actually make a difference to the finished result and help our customers maintain their hair at home. For me, it’s important that customers leave not only looking great, but also knowing how to look after their hair afterwards.
Can you share a memorable customer story or a moment?
One of the most rewarding moments is when a customer comes in unsure about what they want or not feeling confident about their hair, and then you see their reaction when they look in the mirror at the end. Those moments remind me why I love this industry. Seeing someone leave with a big smile and feeling confident is something that never gets old.
When someone visits your store for the first time, what experience do you hope they walk away with?
I want every first-time customer to feel welcomed, comfortable and listened to. I want them to feel that we genuinely care about what they want, rather than just providing a service and sending them on their way. Most importantly, I want them to walk out feeling confident, happy and already looking forward to their next visit.
If you could tell every customer one thing about your store, what would it be?
I would tell every customer that we genuinely care about them and take pride in what we do. We’re not just here to give you a haircut or a hair service — we want to create an experience where you feel valued, looked after and confident when you walk out the door
