Forest Lakes Deli
Meet Rashmi from Forest Lakes Deli. They are a long-standing Forest Lakes retailer and are proud to offer friendly, local service to their customers.
Tell us a bit about yourself and how you came to be part of this business.
Freechoice Forest Lakes Deli is a local business we are very proud to be part of. As a FreeChoice store, we offer much more than convenience and tobacco — including fresh coffee, food, drinks, flowers and friendly local service. We are continually developing the store based on what our local customers want.
What do you love most about running or working in this store?
Definitely the customers. We have many regulars who we see every day, and it is great getting to know them, remembering their usual orders and becoming part of their daily routine.
What’s your favourite product in the store and why?
Our coffee! Many people still don't realise that we serve coffee, and we would love to change that. We also have a great range of fresh food, including breakfast, burgers, rolls, sandwiches, pies, hot dogs and chips.
Can you share a memorable customer story or a moment?
One of the nicest things is having customers become regulars. We often know someone's usual coffee or food order before they even ask. Those everyday interactions are what make being a local business special.
When someone visits your store for the first time, what experience do you hope they walk away with?
We want them to think, “I didn't realise they had all this here!” We want customers to discover our coffee, fresh food, drinks, convenience range and friendly service.
If you could tell every customer one thing about your store, what would it be?
Give us a try — especially our coffee and food! We are proud to be a local FreeChoice Forest Lakes Deli and have much more to offer than people may realise.
